At LBLux you can maintain all your loans and investment instruments such as securities and current accounts in all freely convertible currencies within a custody account and receive an easy-to-read report in your reference currency. This is ideal for internationally oriented investors who not only want to invest in their home country but would also like the opportunity to invest in international markets such as Wall Street. You will still have just one account and one custody account in which your different assets are clearly presented in your chosen reference currency.
Opening an account is the start of our banking relationship. At Banque LBLux, accounts can be opened and cleared in all convertible currencies. You can open an investment account with a minimum deposit of 50,000 EUROS. At your request we shall, in addition to your account in the portfolio currency, maintain current accounts for you free of charge in all freely convertible currencies.
Term Money/Fixed term cash investment in established Currencies
Banque LBLux offers you the opportunity to invest your money at an attractive rate of interest in a term money account either to have part of your assets available as quickly as possible or to be able to contemplate at your leisure investing in a long-term investment. Term money can be invested in euros and in all other established, freely convertible currencies (e.g. USD, AUD, ZAR), with terms of 1 to 12 months at attractive fixed interest rates. In the form of "EuroPlus", Banque LBLux offers a fixed-term investment at an attractive rate of interest within a limited validity period.
Currency Transactions/Forward Currency Transactions
Banque LBLux's trading department has many years of experience in currency management and thus can guarantee you market-driven terms in all established currencies. Whether you want to use forward currency transactions to hedge existing positions or as a speculative investment, your advisor will inform you of our current currency estimates.
In times of increased geopolitical risk and decreasing monetary stability, many clients seek safety by investing a portion of their assets in precious metals. Banque LBLux has precious metals accounts for gold, silver, platinum and palladium.
Securities (Stocks, Bonds, Certificates and Warrants)
Banque LBLux offers you the opportunity to trade securities in all freely convertible currencies. Your orders can be placed in writing or by telephone to your investment advisor. To place your order as quickly as possible the bank uses an ordering system connected directly to the German stock exchange or to the company's own commission trading department for placing orders on other stock exchanges. In the fixed-income area, you always have a choice of current securities from issuers with outstanding credit ratings. For the risk-conscious investor we also offer, upon request, high-interest-bearing bonds with correspondingly lower credit ratings.
Investing in mutual funds has clear advantages over individual investments in terms of controlling risk (diversification). In addition to its own funds, the BayernLB funds, Banque LBLux makes available to you, as a customer, a wide range of international funds which we can access directly through our partners' fund platform.
