Luxembourg is not only a financial centre but also offers a variety of leisure activities.
A visit to Luxembourg City is very worthwhile, for example. There are numerous historical and cultural sights that are just waiting to be discovered: modern bank building designed by world-famous architects stand side-by-side with wonderfully restored historical buildings as well as a large number of museums. Picturesque squares, quaint Old Town lanes, magnificent boulevards and generously dimensioned parks invite you to stroll and discover, for example the splendid skyline. In 1994, UNESCO even declared the Old Town and fortifications to be a World Heritage Site.
The surrounding countryside also offers many interesting destinations for an excursion, with the Valley of the Seven Castles and Luxembourg's Little Switzerland (Müllerthal), to name just two.
